Tall glass of pumpkin spice latte topped with whipped cream

This popular coffee drink is known for its distinct flavour and warmth. For many, it is the taste of fall. While the Pumpkin Spice Latte has been around for years, its popularity has grown in recent years. In part, this is due to the popularity of pumpkin-flavoured items in general. But, the Pumpkin Spice Latte also has its own unique appeal.

For some, the appeal of the Pumpkin Spice Latte is its flavour. This coffee drink is made with real pumpkin, spices, and milk. The result is a smooth, creamy beverage that is full of flavour. The pumpkin and spices give the latte its characteristic taste, while the milk adds to the richness and creaminess.

Others enjoy the Pumpkin Spice Latte for its warmth. On a chilly day, there is nothing quite like a warm cup of this coffee to take the edge off. The Pumpkin Spice Latte is the perfect way to warm up and enjoy the colder weather.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of milk of your choice
  • 1 tablespoon of pumpkin puree
  • 2 teaspoons of pumpkin pie spice
  • 2 tablespoons of white sugar or equivalent alternative (I prefer Monkfruit sweetener)
  • 1/3 cup of strong brewed coffee
  • Whipped cream and additional pumpkin pie spice for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a saucepan, heat the milk, pumpkin puree, pumpkin pie spice, and sugar over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
  2. Once the mixture starts to steam, remove it from the heat.
  3. Pour the hot milk mixture into a blender and blend for 30 seconds.
  4. Pour the blended mixture back into the saucepan and heat over medium heat until hot.
  5. Pour the hot milk mixture into a mug and add the brewed coffee.
  6. Top with whipped cream and an additional sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice, if desired.

Enjoy!
