Hey, coffee lovers! Are you looking for a way to spice up your morning brew? Do you love the cozy and festive flavour of gingerbread? If you answered yes to both questions, then you're in luck! Today I'm going to share with you my easy and delicious recipe for homemade gingerbread coffee syrup. This syrup is perfect for adding a touch of sweetness and spice to your favourite coffee drink, whether it's a latte, a cappuccino, or a plain black. Plus, it's made with natural ingredients and no refined sugar, so you can enjoy it guilt-free. Here's what you'll need to make this amazing syrup:
- 1 cup of water
- 1/4 cup of honey
- 1/4 cup of molasses
- 2 teaspoons of ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon of ground cloves
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
To make the syrup, simply combine all the ingredients in a small saucepan over medium-high heat. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. The syrup will thicken slightly as it cooks. Once it's done, let it cool slightly and transfer it to a glass jar or bottle. You can store the syrup in the refrigerator for up to a month.
To use the syrup, just add a tablespoon or two (depending on how sweet you like your coffee) to your hot or cold coffee drink and stir well. You can also froth some milk and pour it over your coffee for a creamy and foamy treat. Enjoy your gingerbread coffee and feel the holiday spirit!
I hope you liked this recipe and that you'll give it a try soon. Let me know in the comments how it turned out for you and what kind of coffee drink you used it with. And don't forget to share this post with your friends and family who love coffee and gingerbread as much as you do. Thanks for reading and happy brewing!
